New Rules, From Canada to Muslims of the World

Dear non-Canadian Muslims,

More often than not, I defend you, but you need to pay close attention to this.

The Canadian government has passed a new citizenship regulation that requires Muslim women to remove their niqabs and burkas in front of a judge when they are swearing an oath to become Canadian citizens.

If you wish to become a Canadian citizen, you must show your face during the ceremony.

The non-Canadian, foreign-born Muslim women who refuse to comply will be denied Canadian citizenship but will be allowed to stay in Canada as permanent residents, without the perks and rights that come from being a Canadian citizen. Ironically, still more rights and freedoms that said Muslim women would typically enjoy in Islamic countries.

As expected, some fringe Muslims in Canada – including Imam Syed Soharwardy of Calgary – have stepped to the plate to express their rage, calling this new rule a form of Muslim-bashing, an attack on Islam, and comparing it to what Hitler was doing with Jews just prior to the Holocaust.

Cue the drama queens.

Please Take Note

Canada prides itself on being fair, open, multicultural, and we love almost everyone.

However, Canada is NOT an Islamic country under Islamic rule. If you were not born in Canada, you are NOT a Canadian citizen and by coming to Canada and applying for citizenship, YOU are exercising YOUR right to make YOUR decision where YOU would like to be a citizen and under which laws YOU would like to live.

If you do not like the laws of Canada, the country where you weren’t even born, the country where YOU want to move and become a citizen, well then … too fucking bad.

Move to another country, apply for citizenship elsewhere, or just keep your ass at home.

Wishing you all the best in your future decisions.

Look Dumbass,
Longtime, Proud, Open-Minded, Fair, Canadian Citizen.

  • i totally agree..100%.

  • Great article. as a Canadian Muslim I could not agree with you more especially on your closing argument.

Thee is a reason my family moved to Canada back in the 70’s. Following the Islamic revolution in Iran, we wanted nothing to do with the new forced lifestyle and Hijab. This is why we as many others immigrated to canada. To start a new life in a country with our values.

Iran was divided and those like us who did not “belong” within those parameters chose to leave.

I am having a very hard time understanding why on earth would a ultra-Muslim would want to live in the western world. What is it about Canada? You would think if you had a certain set of Islamic “values” you would rather live amongst your kind. In a country with those specific set of values and traditions.

I am in no way right winged nor am I conservative. Very far from it but on this issue I think Canada is still being very lenient, If you were to visit Iran or most Muslim countries, by law you would have to wear the hejab.

    • “What is it about Canada? You would think if you had a certain set of Islamic “values” you would rather live amongst your kind.”

Precisely. If that ultra-Muslim sort is so keen on those hardliner Muslim rules, moving to Canada makes absolutely no sense. Stay home, stay covered, stay away from our tasty beer, and enjoy the nicer weather and laugh at Canadians freezing their asses off in the winter as they (we) shovel piles of snow.

Nobody needs 4ft of snow at the end of the driveway at 6am. It ain’t right. 🙂

  • Couldn’t have said it better myself.

  • Kimberley

    Please…just send them back home.
OR if they wanna cry and compare this to Hitler and the Jews…i a jerry can full of gas.

  • Ship em’ all back!
