POLITICALLY CORRECT: Bitter Broads VS. JC Penny

Ridiculous. Ignorant. Disgusting. Deeply offended.

All words used by some of the most delicate that walk amongst us to describe a shirt that JC Penny was selling on their web site.

Angry broads launched an online petition calling for a boycott of JC Penny for selling such hate mongering attire that was packed with the potential to destroy and demean the most delicate of snowflakes.

REJOICE(!) for the uber politically correct mouth breathers have won!

J.C. Penney is committed to being America’s destination for great style and great value for the whole family. We agree that the “Too pretty” t-shirt does not deliver an appropriate message, and we have immediately discontinued its sale. Our merchandise is intended to appeal to a broad customer base, not to offend them. We would like to apologize to our customers and are taking action to ensure that we continue to uphold the integrity of our merchandise that they have come to expect. — JC Penny

Phew! JC Penny has removed this shirt from their web site and apologized to the angry, bitter, politically correct, estrogen fueled righteous ones, like …

I believe this shirt is nothing less than hate speech aimed at undermining my daughter’s confidence her her abilities – inside and outside the classroom.Erin P.

As a college-educated woman who just earned her EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) Certification at almost 40, I am deeply offended …Heather E.

Can we stop this disgusting behavior now please?Erin M.

I mean, this is just ridiculous and arcane. I can’t believe something like this is actually being made.Tsh O.

The message on this shirt is despicable, and JCPenny deserves public ridicule and a massive boycott for producing it.Mara H.

This item is insulting and I am outraged.Harold G.

As a public school teacher, I am completely appalled that you would be selling an item which minimizes the power of young girls.Shawn Y.

Horribly offensive message for impressionable girls to see or display!Kristina L.

With That Said and Done …

Ponder this.

In an age when PARENTS are taking their children to the doctor for plastic surgery, it’s cutesy sarcastic shirts that worry them most.

So be happy and rejoice you marvelous, politically correct parents. You got JC Penny to pull a cutesy and sarcastic shirt from their lineup, and it’s a good thing!

The writing on the front probably wouldn’t fit in with your daughter’s style as she’s practicing and mimicking Teen Choice Award nominee, Kim Kardashian, as she slithers and grinds in the preview of her new music video.

  • After living their lives in the protected and sterile environment that some parents are trying to create, I wonder how many of these kids will grow up to spend the rest of their lives in therapy.

  • Summer

That kids surgery isn’t so bad…It’s the crazy mom that was shooting her kid with Botox for beauty pageants as a toddler! Now that is just nuts!
