Rutgers Student “Brutally” Beaten by NBPD … Really?

Police in New Brunswick, NJ, have launched an Internal Affairs investigation following the arrest of a 20-year-old Rutgers University student as police were responding to a large brawl at an off-campus party this past weekend.

A video of the arrest appeared on YouTube showing officers tossing a few shots into the student, Elliot Marx, as he laid on the ground while struggling with the officers trying to cuff him.

According to a report from CBS New York, the student’s lawyer claims: My client’s position is he didn’t even know they were police officers until they started yelling stop resisting.

I’ve watched this video 3 times. Marx is laying on the ground just a few feet away from another student that’s already cuffed. They’re surrounded by 7 officers – in uniform, 5 on him and 2 standing by – and at least 3 police cruisers. The police say “stop resisting” at the start of the video and the police car sirens go on and off.

But Marx had no idea the people surrounding him were cops?
